Captain Chris Omer has been a FULL-TIME fishing guide for over 20 years. Operating 200+ charters a year for the last 20 years has made him comfortable guiding all kinds of guests from all walks of life. He has guided in the Katmai National Park, Wood Tikchik State Park, Togiak National Wild Refuge, the Aleutian Peninsula, Southeast Alaska, Ketchikan, Prince of Whales Island, the Icy Straight, Cross Sound, and the Gulf of Alaska. He has also guided in the Florida Keys and West Hawaii.

During the Spring (Mar – May) and Fall (Oct – Dec) he has a steelhead fishing guide service in his home waters of Manistee, MI. Chris no longer guides in the warm-water venues of Florida and Hawaii.

Chris has settled in on the Kenai Peninsula. He is proud to be part of Kenai Fishing Charters where he will be guiding from June 1 – September 30 out of Soldotna, Alaska on the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers for trout and salmon. In the spring he will also be guiding in Homer, Alaska for Halibut and Rockfish
